A. Editing a case
j. Navigate to Edit Case under the heading Cases on the menu bar
k. Enter the case number you wish to edit and click Find Case.
*NOTES:
- By entering a “%” sign, a list of all cases will be returned.
- By entering only the case prefix, the search will return all cases beginning with that prefix (i.e. by entering “S,” a list of all subdivisions, site plans, and special use permits will be returned).
- Each column can be sorted by clicking on the column heading.
l. When you have found the case you wish to edit, click on the Edit button adjacent to that case at the far left of the screen, which will open the case for editing.
m. Use the free text fields and drop-down menus, where available, to edit features of the desired case.
- the Notify box indicates whether applicant has indicated they would like to be notified via automatic e-mail when a comment for their case has been posted.
- The Closed box indicates whether case is open/active or closed.
- The Remove box indicates whether you want the case to disappear from search screens. This should only be used to delete a case if a mistake was made as it was set-up.
- The comments area is to add notes to your case that will not be available for the public to view. The full text box can also be viewed (but not edited) in the Search function.
n. When you have finished, go to the left side of the screen and click on Update to save or Cancel to negate your changes.
B. Editing a property
a. This feature can be accessed in two ways, either Under Cases, by clicking on Edit Property or from the Edit Case screen.
b. Select a Case Type and Case ID from the available drop-down menus which will bring up a screen displaying all the entered information pertaining to that case’s property. If there are multiple properties, only one appears per screen. Others can be accessed by clicking on the page numbers at the bottom of the screen.
c. Click on Edit to activate the fields available for editing. If there are mistakes in any of the data that cannot be edited, contact Real Estate Assessments.
d. Use the drop-down menus to make changes and then click either Update to save the information or Cancel to negate the changes.
